3D graphics

Do you remember the times of the FIRST 3d accelerator cards? 14′ or smaller monitors, of course gray/green/ or yellow monochrome displays? Did you ever programme on Commodore 64 in machine language? Do you know what time it took to render a glass in some ray-tracing software on an Amiga 500 with 1 Mbytes (yes, one) of RAM memory with a 7.14 MHz processor, yeah single core RISC and (of course) in 320×200 pixels?

Regardless of do you, or not, know the answers to these questions,  have the faintest idea what am I talking about, or had a fuzzy warm felling around your heart, we are going to do this in the present/future time. For the ones I caused some nice memories to arise, I’m really happy, for others,  I can promise that this blog/forum is going to make that for you.

In this part of the Blog I’m/we are going to write you about 3D basics, 3D studio max, mathematics of 3d, some unnamed geniuses that made a contribution and a sacrifice for the modern 3d graphics, give advices about almost anything, answer your questions…

This Blog is for the people that love 3d graphics and are passionate about it. You can write comments, posts, become a member and write yourself, and I/we encourage it. Please do participate so we all rise together in knowledge!

Please select area of interest from the 3D Graphics drop down menu.

History is all available via search  and archives.
